Summer Reading: Level Up At Your Library!

Summer Reading 2025: Level Up At Your Library

Ages 3-entering 9th grade

Registration: June 23-July 31

Redemption: Ends August 16

We have paired up with the BOSTON BRUINS once again to encourage reading throughout the summer! This year children ages 3 through entering ninth grade will earn a lanyard with buttons, plus raffle tickets and a book.

Children ages 3-entering fifth grade will receive a registration bag with a timed-reading log and Bruins materials. They should fill in a circle for every 15 minutes of reading (or listening to reading). Once they have filled in 6 circles, they can bring the log to the librarian for a free lanyard and choice of button. They will then receive more buttons for each additional 6 circles. Once the log is completed (15 hours total of reading), they will select a free book and receive a Bruins certificate and a raffle ticket for a fun prize. Prizes include Showcase Cinemas tickets, a North Bowl pizza and bowling package, An Unlikely Story gift card and tote bag, Treetop Adventure pass, Altitude passes, Launch pases, and more. They can request a second log at that time, if wanted. *Logs must be redeemed by August 16.

Children entering 6th grade-9th grade will receive a reading log and mark a square for every 15 minutes of reading. Once they have marked enough squares to reach the first star, they will "Level Up" and receive a lanyard with choice of button. They will receive more buttons for each new level reached. Once the log is completed, they will select a free book and receive a raffle ticket for a fun prize (listed above). They can request a second log at that time, if wanted.

Join us throughout the summer for fun activities like The Poop Museum, an animal show visit, Halloween in July, life-sized Candy Land, a stuffed animal vet clinic, STEAM, and so much more! See our events tab for more information.
