Mass. Center For The Book Student Reading Challenge
The library is pairing up with the Massachusetts Center For The Book to present a student reading challenge. The challenge runs from June 2025 to May 2026 and ecourages children and teens to read at least one book a month. Each month follows a reading challenge prompt. For example, June's challenge is to read a book written before 2020. This challenge includes picturebooks, early readers, and middle grade and high school chapter books.
To participate, visit the children's room and request a Reading Challenge Passport. Use our display to help find that month's book, or find one on your own. When you have completed your selection, return to the children's room with your passport to receive a sticker. You will also receive a small prize once you have completed 4 months, 8 months, and all 12 months of the challenge.
