Summer Reading: Read, Renew, Repeat!

Summer Reading 2024: Read, Renew, Repeat!

Ages 3-entering 9th grade

Registration runs: June 10-July 31.

Log redemption runs: July 1-August 17.

We have paired up with the BOSTON BRUINS once again to encourage reading throughout the summer!

This year children ages 3 through entering fifth grade can also earn brag tags on a necklace for reading!

Children who register for our summer reading program will receive the following  incentives based on their age or the school year they will be entering in the fall:

  • Children ages 3-8: These children will receive a registration bag with a timed-reading log and Bruins materials. The child should fill in a circle for every 15 minutes of reading (or listening to reading). Once the child has filled in 5 circles, he/she can bring the log to the librarian for a free necklace and choice of brag tag. He or she will then receive more tags for each additional 5 circles. Beginning July 1, the child can redeem a completed log  (just over 12 hours total of reading). He or she will select a free book and receive a Bruins certificate AND a raffle ticket for a fun prize. Prizes include Funko Pops, stuffed animals, book sets, and Altitude tickets. *Your child can request a second log at that time, if wanted.

  • Children ages 9 through entering fifth grade: These children will also receive a registration bag with a timed-reading log and Bruins materials. The child should fill in a circle for every 15 minutes of reading. Once the child has filled in 5 circles, he/she can bring the log to the librarian for a free necklace and choice of brag tag.
